This apron began as a linen shirt and grew larger as parts of a raw silk pantsuit well past its use by date were added to it.  Its embellishments are  more mending than embroidery.  It has been dyed twice, mostly with eucalyptus leaves and adjusted to fit a tall, slender gardener and musician and wandered off to join her in country New South Wales.
